Marshall T. Leeds Chairman of the Board of Directors, CEO and President

Marshall became Summit's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 2002, continuing an almost 25 year career within the independent broker-dealer industry. Prior to acquiring a controlling interest in Summit, Marshall was the Chairman and CEO for JWGenesis Financial Corp, which became - under his leadership - the second largest New York member firm based in Florida at the time of its sale in 2001 to First Union (now Wachovia). Marshall serves on the Independent Firms Committee of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, and previously served as the Chairman of the Regional Investment Bankers Association, Inc.

Vincent A. Chiera Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer

Vincent became Summit's Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer in 2007. Vincent brings to Summit over 30 years of experience serving the needs of independent financial advisors, including having served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for JWGenesis Financial Corp. Vincent earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Boston University in 1974.

Bernard Golembe Executive Vice President, Brokerage Operations

Bernie joined Summit in 2003 as Vice President of Operations, bringing 42 years of securities industry expertise to the Firm. His career started at Bache & Co., Inc. (which later became Prudential Securities) where he established their clearing business. Prudential later merged with First Clearing Corp. Bernie continued his career with Bear Stearns where their clearing business increased from 51 to 475 firms. In 1998, Bernie became Vice President of Operations for JWGenesis. He served on the Membership Committee of the Securities Industry Association (currently SIFMA). He serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Small Firms Committee and is a frequent speaker on the clearing business at the annual SIFMA Small Firms Conference.

Mike has over 14 years of experience in the securities industry with over six years as a Chief Compliance Officer and previous experience in both sales and trading. He is a Certified Financial Planner professional, a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and a FINRA & NFA arbitrator. Mike earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace Systems) from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1990, his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Law School in 2006, was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2007, serves in the U.S. Army Reserves with the rank of Major, and is a regular speaker on securities arbitration at Nova Southeastern University Law School.

Prior to joining Summit, Mike was a Regional Vice President with Dreyfus Investments wholesaling various Dreyfus and Bank of New York Mellon products to Florida based advisors. Prior to joining Dreyfus, Mike was Regional Vice President of Sentinel Financial Services where he spent 14 years of his career.

Steven C. Jacobs Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Director

Steve has been a member of Summit's Board of Directors since 2002, and has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since 2003. Steve has over 20 years of operational and investment banking experience in the financial services industry. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Public Accountants. Steve earned his bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Florida in 1982.

Tom has over 20 years of experience in technology for the financial services industry, holding consultant status as well as public and private sector positions. Tom has served as Executive Vice President, Technology for Summit since 2002. Prior to joining the firm, Tom served as Senior Vice President for Technology for JWGenesis from 1985 until the firm was acquired in 2001. After the acquisition, Tom served as technology consultant to First Union (now Wachovia). Tom holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University and a master's degree in Management from Nova University.
